Basketball team tries fast-food fundraiser

The girls’ basketball team recently moved off the court and behind the counter for a different kind of fundraiser.

“The McDonalds in Viera invited us to participate in their first McSport night since we have hosted so many carwashes there in the last couple of years,” Head Coach Dave D’Esposito said.

The fundraiser consisted of the girls helping the employees by take orders at the cash register, hand out meals at the drive-through, clean tables, greet the customers and even take out trash.

“Working at McDonalds was a lot of fun,” sophomore Krishna Davda said. “And it helped me realize the responsibilities you have to undertake in a job.”

The team has been has been invited by the manager to return for another McSport night next month.
