Art work displayed at the mall

West Shore art students have their art works displayed in the Melbourne Square Mall in front of Dick’s Sporting Goods until Jan. 24. There are drawings, paintings and digital art.

“As you’re passing through the mall, it’s a nice opportunity to not only see our students’ work, but see some other outstanding work from the area like Mel High, Palm Bay and Viera,” Fine Arts teacher James Finch said.

Students from different grades have their artwork displayed. The two art teachers, Finch and Matthew Henderson, had to choose the pieces from a restricted amount.

“This is the only exhibition opportunity and we were limited in the number of pieces we could show, so I selected some extra pieces of art that I did have because I have another show going on in the Media Center,” Finch said. “Mr. Henderson took some of his better students’ work and we put those in there.”
